About Kili'apu Services

Kili'apu Services was officially formed in Hawai'i in the year 2000. It has three main components:

  • DrMacNut: service and repair for Apple® Macintosh® computers, and training for their owners.
  • 11th Avenue Filmworks: making educational videos and doing freelance production and post-production for broadcast, corporate, or private audiences; specialty "a la carte stock footage" from the Hawaiian islands in DV and DVCAM formats.
  • Translation, Editing, and Public Information Services: contract and freelance Hawaiian, Marquesan, and French translations; editing, lecturing, songwriting; page layout and design for print, CD-ROMs, and the Web.

These branches all operate under the same State of Hawaii General Excise Tax License. Since ending my six years as a school teacher in a local Hawaiian Language Immersion School in June 2002, I have thoroughly enjoyed running these three small businesses as my sole sources of income.
